There may be issues she needs to talk about.

Well minus the doll throwing, no one was hitting anyone... and my daughter was just running up with her arms out infront of the person telling them to go away.

My friend does not have children... and I think she just got caught up in the moment

Well last night I had a few friends over (keep in mind everyone else is like 23 and 24 and everyone was totally sober) My dolls are always put up, but my daughter's AG is always beeing tagged along with her, so it was sitting on the sofa.

Well anyways, we all started to kinda goof off... pretending to kick each other for the sake of getting my little one to "come rescue us" from the other person (its really cute, how she gets all protective). When one of my friends picks up my daughters AGoT doll by the legs and starts using the doll as a bat to hit another person.

I was absolutly flabergasted... she knows how expensive those dolls are and how much they mean to me.. I started screaming and she did put the doll down, but I'd say she got about 5 good wacks in with the poor doll. (Obviously she wasn't using her whole strenght as the dolls strings couldn't have handled it)

The doll came out of the ordeal rather unscathed, just hair a bit ruffled... but I was still in shock.

I was really irritated... and you have to understand this person has ALWAYS been there for me. She really is a great friend and person... and she's pulled me out of some nasty scrapes... and I actually felt guilty for being a little beefed... but I couldn't believe it!

Should I have handled this differently?

OMG that horrible! was your daughter there when your friend did that? I hope you daughter didn't see that

Since you put your dolls away when company or friends come over, maybe you should ask your daughter if she would like to put hers away or maybe just hang on to it for the time company is there..

Yes, my daughter (who is 3) saw this... and she has since tried to repeat the action. I am so surprised she isn't scarred from this because I make a huge effort to pretend these dolls are real.

I would agree putting the doll up with company would be for the best... but like for this instance I didn't know I was to have house guest... and my friends tend to stay a while (which is perfectly cool with me... I like having buddies that practically live here)

Your poor little girl. Maybe you should put the doll up whenever company arrives, and if its too much trouble at the time, go hide her quickly or put her in a different room that you won't be going into. And tell your friend that your daughter thinks that those dolls are 'Real' and that you don't want your daughter to see that happen again. I hope this is helping
